About Us

We are a small team of self-inintiating, entrepreneurial people trying to make a better a process a reality for deputizing missionaries.

Our team consists of a Global Missions director with a passion for continuous improvement and supporting missionaries and Global missions operation, an associate missionary with a little experience in missions and project management, and a development team in India consisting of a project manager and a coder.  We have pulled in UI and other resources as needed.

We started this journey in 2017 after pondering how a Microsoft Access-based system could be expanded.  It had to be web-based.  It is a long and winding road to how we got to where we are.  The short version is that the project was initiated with an Indian software and web developer firm which got the basic structure established, and a roughed-out site, but after about 5 changes in project management, at least 3 changes in the developer leading the technical development and a management team that was utterly scattered, the project failed.

The project was re-started with another Indian developer, who ran a small operation with a highly skilled angular JS developer, who got the project to about 80% and then vanished during COVID.  We think he is still alive.

The project was then re-started again with NTA Creative to get the job done.  There was a lot of back-end work to do, and Troy and his team helped us get the site working robustly.  We got about 85% of the way to completion, and Troy and his team was short on time to continue the development.  So we used his knowledge of the system he had been developing to put together a new scope of work that we could find another partner to work with.

In the course of issuing the scope of work, it became aparent that people were not interested in working in the years-old structure of the site, which was a little bit scattered and patched together, but rather to update the functionality in a more modern and streamlined platform.  Our choices were React or PHP.  We decide to select a vendor who recommended using the Laravel PHP platform, and made us a compelling offer.  So in June 2024 we began on this new platform, using the scope of work and adding additional features as we went.  We achieved 95% of those features in May, 2025, and decided to increase our pace and work intenstity to shoot for full Beta Testing to start at General Conference 2025.   So the Project Management team and our developer stepped up to a 3x pace for July and August, 2025.
